Geoff
Butler’s combination of business and planning
training provides the dual perspective needed to understand real
estate, planning and urban economics. Geoff manages multidisciplinary
teams on complex and controversial matters with often
politically charged implications. Geoff prepares interactive fiscal
models for multiple jurisdictions that assist local leaders understands
alternative forms of governance and annexation, incorporation and infrastructure
planning. Geoff is also skilled in both real estate and
tourism-related market research and analysis, having twice managed
the completion of the seminal market research for the Utah
Ski and Snowboard Association. This ongoing project involves
a lot of face time with skiers, analysts and industry professionals
and a little time in the mountains to boot. Geoff is also an expert
in land-use planning, design review, public
involvement, municipal ordinance drafting,
and redevelopment area planning.
