Karen
Wikstrom’s nearly thirty years of economic-analysis
experience and specialization in a wide array of real estate, finance and planning services,
has made Wikstrom a flourishing business. Her expertise includes
economic and fiscal impacts analysis,
public planning and real estate development. Karen entered the workforce
in the early 1980s just in time
to gain her initial training in the workouts of problem real
estate and financial institutions of the S&L
crisis. She develops recapitalization
plans, prepares bid packages, conducts
due diligence on behalf of potential
bidders, conducts asset swaps, prepares lending
policies and procedures,
evaluates pools of assets, manages assets in receiverships
and conservatorships and assists in the takeover of financial institutions.
Karen is actively
involved in the community, has been adjunct instructor in financial analysis
for the University of Utah and serves on the advisory board of the University
of Utah College of Architecture + Planning.
